Denver, CO. – Current point’s leader and previous “A” Feature winner this year at El Paso County Fairground Speedway Tony Rossi and The Rocky Mountain Midgets Racing Association (RMMRA) will make their second visit to the El Paso County Fairground Speedway in Calhan, CO. this Saturday night, to open up the 106th annual El Paso County Fair.
Along with the RMMRA, the URSS 305 Sprint Cars Colorado Region will be taking off the wings for the first time at Calhan. Other classes that will be competing will be the Colorado 1200 Outlaws, IMCA Modifieds, Hornets, Hobby Trucks and Colorado Dwarfs Cars.
Pits gates will open at 3:00 p.m., Grandstands will open at 4:00 p.m., Hot Laps will be at 5:00 p.m. and Racing starts at 6:00 p.m.
Pit parking for the Fair race will be restricted to only those vehicles that are towing a race vehicle. All private/personal vehicles will have to be parked across Calhan Hwy. in the “overflow” lot. And for this race only — SORRY – NO PETS ALLOWED (County Fair rules/regs.).
Advance ticket sales for the fair race this Saturday night, July 23rd are available. You can order tickets from the Fairgrounds Office. They can either come in and buy them thru this Friday, or they can call and place order over the phone and the tickets will be available at the south gate on will call.
