Sarver, PA — (August 19, 2011) — Mother Nature unleashed her fury again on the Action Track Friday evening as a rogue storm passed over the speedway with both wind and lightning canceling another Fast Friday of Fab Four Racing.
If there is a silver lining to tonight’s cancelation it is in the favor of Carl Bowser and Dave Hess Jr. whom have secured 2011 Budweiser Track Championships in the Ti22 Performance DIRTcar Sprints and the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models, respectively. Each driver carries more of a full night’s worth of points ahead of second place competitors Rod George and Jared Miley.
Jeremiah Shingledecker and Joe Kelley head into Championship Night (next Friday, August 26) with narrow leads in the Budweiser Points. Both Dave Murdick and Kevin Bolland will race Shingledecker for the title in the Diehl Mods, while Mike Miller, Corey McPherson, AJ Flick and Rob Shook will take aim at Kelley in the Pic-A-Part Sportsman.
The Chinese Auction to benefit the Lynch family and their ongoing recovery will be held next Friday, August 26 on Championship Night! Donations will be accepted at the speedway office this week and at the pit board next Friday Night!
On Saturday, August 20, Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway has the Red Miley Rumble featuring the UFo/ULMS Late Models and the 410 Sprints, Mercer Raceway Park has their Saturday Night Live lineup with some added perks from Goodyear for the Sprints, while Sharon Speedway will be in action with their Saturday Night Steel Valley Thunder program featuring the Big Block Modifieds.
