The USAC West Coast 360 Sprint Cars return to the Gropetti Automotive Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif. this Saturday night.

Ryan Bernal of Hollister, Calif., who has reeled off four victories in the last six series outings, hopes to slice further into Richard VanderWeerd’s 55-point lead with what would be his first Tulare win this weekend.

Four previous Tulare West Coast 360 Sprint races produced a trio of Bud Kaeding wins and one for Peter Murphy.

VanderWeerd, of Visalia, Calif., hopes to notch his second victory of the campaign. His first came at Hanford, Calif. in July.
