TULSA, Okla. (October 12, 2011) – With the pre-entry discount deadline for the upcoming 24th Annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires at I-30 Speedway just a few short days away, a small sampling of the early entries serves as an enticing indicator of the unparalleled pool of talent that will once again descend upon Little Rock, AR, in just two more weeks.

And among those early entries is Grass Valley, CA, native Brad Sweet, who will return to defend his STN crown in the $15,000-to-win, $2,400-to-start Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters event on October 27-29.

Sweet is one of four past event winners among the early entries, with back-to-back winner in 2008 and 2009 Tony Bruce, Jr., 2006 victor Jason Johnson and 1997 ace Wayne Johnson also among the entries.

Then throw in the likes of current Lucas Oil Sprint Car points leader Shane Stewart, second-ranked Johnny Herrera, leading Brodix Rookie of the Year contender Aaron Reutzel, Posse shoe Stevie Smith, Jr., and Sweet’s Kasey Kahne Racing teammate Joey Saldana, and the 2011 STN field is again shaping up in stellar fashion.

Drivers planning on competing in the 24th Annual Short Track Nationals can save $100 by filing entries by Monday’s October 17 deadline. Entries filed by October 17 are $150, with entries after the deadline $250.

Entry forms are available at http://www.i-30speedway.com/flyers/stn_2011.pdf, or by calling 501-455-4567.
