Two sons of USAC racing champions and a former champion lead the USAC Eastern Ford Focuses back to Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, N.C. Saturday to conclude the 2011 racing series.
Nick Drake of Mooresville, N.C., son of former USAC champion Jay Drake, has a lock on the National and Eastern titles entering Saturday’s race. Scott Hunter of Concord, N.C., last year’s Eastern and Carolina titlist and Jarett Andretti of Mooresville, son of Indianapolis 500 vet John Andretti, are separated by just two points in their battle for the runner-up spot.
This Saturday’s race is the fifth at Ace Speedway this year and Andretti is undefeated there, winning all four previous races including a pair of feature wins earlier this month.
