Atlanta, GA – March 25, 2012 – The United Sprint Car Series “Outlaw Thunder” Tour presented by Goodyear and Filtercharged by K&N Filters winged sprint cars invade the high banks of Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, Arkansas on Friday, March 30th. The event entitled the USCS “Spring Xplosion” 2012 will feature the top winged sprint car drivers in the Mid-South in a 130 mile per hour assault on Arkansas’ fastest clay oval.
The United Sprint Car Series made the only previous visit in its sixteen year history to BMS on July 10, 2009. The ten-time United Sprint Car Series National Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee won the sprint car portion of the event.
Additionally on the racing card will be the K&N Filters USCS Modified Touring Series racing for $1000 to win plus the Batesville Street Stocks racing for $ 500 to win. The Factory Stock and Front Wheel Drive divisions will get their first laps of the 2012 season on the speedway in their season opening contests.
The Batesville Motor Speedway track is less than 2 hours from Little Rock, Arkansas and slightly over a two hour drive from Memphis, Tennessee. On Saturday, March 31, 2012 the United Sprint Car Series presented by Goodyear returns to Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri for the sprint car portion of the 6th annual Bootheel 200 that was washed out just after hot laps last Saturday night.
