Port Royal, PA — (March 31, 2012) — The sprint car, late model and pro stock features were postponed by rain Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway after the initial start of the sprint main had taken place.

Make up dates for all three events will be announced in the near future. Rain checks will not be honored due to half of the show having been completed.

The sprint field was under red for a nasty fourth turn flip on the initial start by Justin Henderson when a persistent drizzle settled in over the speedway, forcing officials to halt action for the night. Henderson was not injured.

Keith Kauffman and Lance Dewease had taken the green flag from the front row of the sprint feature before the stoppage.

Heats for the 21-car sprint field went to Kauffman, Fred Rahmer and Mark Coldren.

With 27 late models in action for the division’s season debut, Dylan Yoder, Derek Byler and Bryon Sipe took heats.

The season debut of the pro stocks netted 15 entries with Scott Landis and Nate Fisher claiming the heat races.
