USCS four night “Red Dirt Rumble” Labor Day weekend races kick off Friday 8/31

Atlanta, GA – August 25, 2012 – The United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by Goodyear “Red Dirt Rumble” 2012 Labor Day weekend mini-series fires into action with Sprint Car Mania 5 (2012) at the 3/8 mile Boyd Speedway (www.boydsspeedway.net) in the Chattanooga suburb of Ringgold, Georgia on Friday, August 31, 2012. The 30-lap USCS Sprint Car Mania winged sprint main event will pay $2000 to win. The track has witnessed capacity crowds over the last four seasons for USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour annual events. Joining the Unite Sprint Car Series on the racing card will also be a winged Outlaw mini sprint special event and the A and B-Hobby and Front wheel drive four cylinder racing divisions.

Gates open at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and racing action begins at 7:00 p.m. Boyd’s Speedway is located less than one mile off Interstate 75 at Tennessee Exit 1A/Ringgold Road. On the following night (Saturday, September 1st) the traveling mini-series moves part way across the state of Georgia to Sugar Creek Raceway (www.sugarcreekraceway.us) in Blue Ridge, Georgia for the mini-series Round Two. The winner’s portion for winning the main event at SCR will be $2000 as well. The USCS Red Dirt rumble 2012 next stop will be at historic Toccoa Speedway in Toccoa, Georgia on Sunday, September 2nd for the series second visit to the D-Shaped 1/3 mile red clay oval located inside the city limits of Toccoa. The Red Dirt Rumble 4 night mini-series wraps up with a trip to the high-banked quarter-mile red clay racing surface of Tri County Racetrack (www.tricountyracetrack.com) in Brasstown, North Carolina on Labor Day Monday, September 3rd. The finale will also pay $2000 to win.

Each night’s Red Dirt Rumble 2012 main event pays $2000 to win. The winner of the nightly Goodyear Speed Dash also collects $100. Contingency Awards are also presented on top of cash awards. Each night’s main event will pay at least $250 to finish last with $150 guaranteed to non-qualifiers or non-starters who make an honest attempt to race each night. Any drivers who compete all four nights and start all four main events are guaranteed $1200 for the weekend’s events including accumulated winnings for the four events.

Mufflers are required for the Boyd’s Speedway USCS event. The legal mufflers for the USCS sprint cars are the Schoenfeld part # 112535. Fuel (Methanol) and Tires (Goodyear) will be available at Boyd’s Speedway and all Red Dirt Rumble 2012 tracks.
