Port Royal – Port Royal Speedway will present the two-day Tuscarora 50 races sanctioned by the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions sprint cars this Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8 at 7 pm.
The races will cap off the 158th annual Juniata County Fair held on the fairgrounds around the speedway.
Friday’s Night Before The 50 event will host a full program of sprint car racing featuring a 30-lap main paying $5,000 to win.
Friday’s show will be stand-alone and not link any drivers to Saturday’s 50 itself.
Friday night’s show will also determine the 2012 AB Auto Glass late model point champion as it offers a full program of late model racing as well.
The crown will be decided between at tight race between drivers Tim Wilson, Brett Schadel and Mike Lupfer.
After Friday’s Night Before event, Saturday will feature the 45th annual AB Auto Glass Tuscarora 50 sanctioned by the All Stars and will also declare the 2012 All Stars East Region Champion.
Drivers Daryn Pittman, Tim Shaffer and David Gravel are set to settle that score in Saturday’s event, with laurels paying $20,000 to the titlist.
The Tuscarora 50 champion will pocket $11,000 alone plus lap money with each lap being worth $25 aside from lap 25 which is worth $200 to the leader at the halfway point.
Stevie Smith is the defending Tuscarora 50 champion while the 2011 Night Before race was rained out.
Saturday’s action will also crown the 2012 sprint car track champion as well as the pro stock champ.
A full program of pro stock racing is also on the Saturday card.
Racing both nights begins at 7 pm.
Adult admission for The Night Before The 50 is set at $20 with Saturday’s Tuscarora 50 price for adults is set at a modest $25 for the high profile, prestigious event.
Students ages 12 – 18 will be admitted for an astounding low price of JUST $5 at both events
