PEORIA, Ariz. (September 17, 2012) – The stage is set, as Canyon Speedway Park hosts the final round of the three-race grudge match pitting the USAC West Coast Sprint Cars versus the ASCS Canyon Region in Saturday night’s “Brawl For It All”.
The winner of Saturday’s non-wing Sprint Car “Brawl For It All” feature event will pocket $2,500 with all feature starters collecting at least $300. The “Grudge Series” championship, worth $5,000, will also be determined.
Saturday’s card, which gets under way at 7:00 p.m., also includes Southwest Mod Lites and ASCS2 Micro Sprints. An open practice precedes on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Thus far, the USAC West Coast Sprint Car Shoes have held the advantage with Bud Kaeding taking the win in the “Sin City Showdown” at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 8 and then Cory Kruseman victorious in Santa Maria Speedway’s “War at the Shore” on July 7.
However, the USAC forces will find themselves deep in the heart of ASCS Canyon Region territory this time around, where current series points leader Charles Davis, Jr., has topped two of six events this season at Canyon Speedway Park, including the most recent outing on July 28. Other ASCS Canyon Region winners at CSP this season include Jeremy Sherman, Dalten Gabbard, Colby Copeland and Mike Bonneau.
In the “Grudge Series” title chase, Ryan Bernal of Hollister, CA, holds a slim lead entering Saturday’s action ahead of Danny Sheridan, Troy Rutherford, Bud Kaeding, R.J. Johnson, Cory Kruseman, Mike Spencer, Danny Faria, Jr., Rick Ziehl and Brody Roa.
The “Grudge Series” includes a $15,000 point fund compliments of Southwest Contractors, Hoosier Tire and Parker Store of Phoenix.
Tony Martin has had the hottest Southwest Mod Lite hand at CSP with three triumphs, though Vince Perez topped the most recent event on September 2.
Adam Milsap shoots for a third consecutive ASCS2 Micro Sprint Car feature win at CSP after topping the most recent pair of events on June 30 and July 28.
Tickets for Saturday’s “Brawl For It All” are $15, with a $2 discount for Military, Seniors and Students. Children ages 7-12 are $6, with children 6 and under admitted free. VIP passes are available for $20.
