After Mother Nature canceled racing action in Ohio on Friday, the Big Game Treestands #7 team continued their final Eastern swing of the season at Lernerville Speedway on Saturday. With rain in the Sarver, Pennsylvania area looming, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ was set for his first race at the facility since capturing the prestigious Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup crown in mid-July.

As 31 drivers signed in for the Commonwealth Clash and qualifying got underway, persistent rain showers passing through the vicinity resulted in a three hour delay. Following the length delay the 4/10-mile was worked back into racing shape and qualifying restarted with Dollansky posted the 8th fastest time. A front row starting spot for the second heat saw the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim take the lead and victory. Luck by way of a six pill inversion for the dash then put ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ on the pole for the 6-lap event where he capitalized on the starting spot motoring to the checkered flag in 1st.

After earning his sixth pole of the 2012 season, Dollansky led the field to the green flag of the 35-lap A-Main. A caution on the opening start prompted a complete restart with the Elk River, Minnesota again taking first before another yellow flag with 1 lap complete. As the main event resumed Dollansky held the top spot working through lapped traffic until the yellow was displayed on lap 21. A strong double-file restart saw the MobileStar #7 again look strong motoring out to the lead. Unfortunately, with only a few laps remaining the powerplant under the hood of the #7 started to let loose and Dollansky surrendered the lead on lap 33. In the final three laps Dollansky managed to stay under power and cap a heartbreaking finish just outside the top-ten in 11th.

The two-day Morgan Hughes National Open now awaits the Big Game Treestands #7 team at Williams Grove Speedway beginning this Friday, September 28th.
