They may come from different parts of the country, but next year two racers with family roots deep in sprint car racing will be joining forces to run a limited World of Outlaw schedule. When the 2013 season takes the checkered flag, California will clash with Illinois as Randy Hannagan will be joining Shane Wade’s Amati Racing in the No. 66 Marion Underground Construction/Shane Wade Enterprises/J&J Chassis.

“I am very excited to join forces with Shane Wade and the Amati team for the 2013 season,” Hannagan stated. “I look forward to getting to run more 410 shows than I have in the past few years. I am really enthusiastic about getting back to World of Outlaw racing as well.”

Hannagan joins Amati Racing after a successful 2012 season which saw him in both his own 410 and Dennis Yokam’s 360. The California native ran with the NRA Sprint Invaders winning eight of the 15 scheduled races at three different tracks and picking up his second consecutive title with the series.

“Randy will be an exciting addition to Amati Racing for 2013,” stated team owner Shane Wade. “I’m looking forward to running an expanded schedule that includes more World of Outlaw races. Having a driver of Randy’s Caliber will definitely help us run with those guys and achieve our goal of growing into a full time team.”

Amati Racing is owned by Shane Wade whose team was founded by his legendary grandfather Chuck Amati The team has competed in the Midwest with the All Star Circuit of Champions and World of Outlaws this past season and looks to expand their schedule in 2013. A full schedule will be released at a later time.

“I am really looking forward to working with the team Shane is putting together,” Hannagan explained. “Derek Holmwood has moved from Washington to work with us. I’m looking forward to meeting this kid and I don’t think it will take the racing world long to see how sharp he is.”

“The Hurricane” also plans to run Dennis Yokam’s 360 Sprint Car as his schedule allows in 2013. Hannagan would like to thank the following sponsors for their continued support for the 2013 season: Central Valley Meat, BMRS, Kenny’s Components, FK Rod Ends, Gorby’s Howard Johnson of Lima, Simpson Race Products, Integra Racing Shocks, Outerwears, Ultra Shield, Auto Meter, Santomauro Race Products and Weld Wheels.
