Sydney, AU — (March 23, 2013) — Ben Atkinson looked unstoppable in the final Club Show for this season taking out a dominate victory.

After starting out of position nine, Atkinson stormed his way to the lead after just seven laps making a move down the inside of pole sitter Dean Thomas. From that moment on Atkinson was never challenged. Toby Bellbowen made a charging start and quickly found his way to the second spot and tried to run down the leader, but Atkinson was too quick in lap traffic. Danny Hogan was the first and only car to bring out the caution lights when he spun in turn one with only four laps to go. The restart saw the battle for the minor placing’s take centre stage, Thomas and Roddy Bellbowen went side by side into turn one with two to go, Thomas threw the car in and executed a brilliant sldejob. The two made slight contact but it wasn’t enough to warrant a review by the officials.

So as the chequered flag dropped, Ben Atkinson was your winner over Toby Bellbowen and Dean Thomas rounding out the top three. Roddy Bellbowen was fourth ahead of a charging Daniel Needham, Matthew Thomas sixth followed by Attard, Skipper, Delamont and Evans rounding out the top ten.

Earlier on in heat three, Craig Haines had an incredible roll over in turn four ending up in the catch fence. He was lucky to walk out of the car after what was a frightening incident.

The Late Model Firecracker was held over thirty laps and Darryl Grimson took a commanding victory by three quarters of a lap. Tim Bink was lucky to come home second after getting caught up in a collision with Nathan Disney and Dave Roberston earlier on in the race. Nathan Smee fought well to come home third.

A tremendous Wingless A-Main was taken out by Jason Bates. Damian Abbott took a huge tumble in turn three which declared the race with three laps remaining. He was a-ok. Mark Blyton was second with series leader Kyle Caunt coming home third.

Brett Mitchell held off a terrific fight from Mark Heaton and Cameron Ware to claim the feature for the Legend Cars.

The Fender Benders were taken out by Shane Moxon.

Next Saturday night the POWRi Australian Speedcar Super Series takes centre stage with their Grand Final. Wingless Sprints, Street Stocks and Legend Cars also hit the track.
