Silver Dollar Speedway has been a staple on the STP World of Outlaws schedule and on Saturday the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team returned to the tight bullring track for the first of three stops in 2013.  For Craig Dollansky, Saturday marked his 30th appearance at the track where he has recorded 18 top-tens, 15 top-fives, and 4 victories with the most recent coming during the Mini Gold Cup two years ago.

Set to go in Chico, California with 42 drivers signed in for battle, Dollansky stopped the clock 23rd fastest in qualifying.  Missing the sixteen car inversion of four heats meant the Aggressive Hydraulics backed sprinter would start sixth in heat three.  In the 10-lap heat ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ held 5th to transfer into the main event.

Lining up deep in the pack inside row eleven for the 40-lap A-Main, a yellow on the initial start was quickly followed by a red on lap 2.  Moving up four spots just three circuits later, Dollansky continued to progress toward the front running sixteenth by lap 9.  With the feature still endured a long stretch of green flag competition, the MobileStar #7 advanced three more just after the halfway point on lap 22.  After a red flag with just six laps remaining, the ensuing restart was a good one for Dollansky but another car spinning in turns 1 & 2 left the Elk River, Minnesota native with nowhere to go flipping the #7.  Going to the work area hoping to rejoin the field, the feature restarted before repairs could be made and the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products Maxim was scored 20th.

The Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team will now travel to Merced Speedway in Merced, California this coming Friday, March 29th.
