Selinsgrove, PA — (April 16, 2013) — Selinsgrove Speedway will present a four division racing program featuring 358 sprint cars, late models, pro stocks, and roadrunners at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 20, sponsored by Advanced Concrete Systems of Middleburg. Track gates will open at 4 p.m.

Entering this weekend’s racing action there have been no repeat feature winners in three of the speedway’s four weekly divisions. Only Brian Johnson of Ashland has been to Victory Lane twice this season in the roadrunner class.

In 358-360 sprint car action, three races have produced three different winners, including Mark Smith of Sunbury; Tony Stewart of Rushville, Ind.; and defending champion Pat Cannon of Etters, who took the points lead after his victory in last Saturday’s 25-lap main event. Cannon leads the A&A Auto Stores sprint car standings by 60 points over TJ Stutts of Liverpool.

Jerry Bard of Shippensburg recently became the third different late model winner in as many races at the track. Bard joined Dylan Yoder of Selinsgrove and Coleby Frye of Dover on the early-season win list. Defending champion Jeff Rine of Danville is seeking his first win of the season but took over the points lead following his close second-place finish to Bard in the feature last Saturday. Rine leads the Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center standings by just 25 points over D. Yoder.

18-year-old pro stock driver Nathan Long of Selinsgrove won his first career race on the half-mile track last weekend. Also scoring single wins this year have been Brad Mitch of McClure and Shaun Miller of Tower City. Miller leads the Byer’s Built Engines rankings by 80 points over his father, Troy Miller, also of Tower City.

John Fowler Jr. of Montandon and two-time defending champion Bob Bussey of Northumberland have also been victorious in roadrunner racing this season. Bussey took over the top spot in the division’s standings by 20 points over two-time winner Johnson.

Race night sponsor Advanced Concrete Systems was founded in 1986 by the late Larry Yarger of Middleburg, who was an avid supporter of the speedway. Advanced Concrete Systems sells and installs Superior Walls foundations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia. The company employs about 100 people at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Middleburg, where more than 23,000 foundations have been precast since the company’s inception.

Selinsgrove Speedway will present the first championship race of the season for the super late models paying $2,500 to win on Saturday, April 27, when the track switches to a 7 p.m. starting time. Also on the racing card sponsored by Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center of Paxinos will be the 358 sprint cars, pro stocks, and roadrunners.

Selinsgrove Raceway Park will host a complete program of go kart and micro sprint car racing at 7 p.m. this Friday, April 19.
