April 27, 2013 – With the opening round of the 2013 King Of Indiana Sprint Series just days away, the schedule for the 13th annual KISS tour has been completed. The Terre Haute Action Track will host this year’s finale, where the King of Indiana will be crowned during a July 2nd program co-sanctioned by MSCS and with NASCAR, IndyCar and USAC champion Tony Stewart in the house.
The Tuesday night racing event, kicking off the Independence Day festivities around the Hoosier state, will be the seventh appearance of the KISS series at the lighting-fast Terre Haute half mile. Last year’s Action Track winner was Robert Ballou, who outran an all-star cast that included Bud Kaeding, Dave Darland, Jon Stanbrough and Damion Gardner. Stanbrough went on to capture his sixth KISS championship just weeks later.
KISS racers will convene at Bloomington Speedway on the first Friday in May and two nights later they will tow to Kokomo Speedway for a Sunday night program. The next Friday, KISS will compete at the Gas City I-69 Speedway. Then the KISS series will unload at Lawrenceburg Speedway a week later, on Saturday May 18. Memorial Day weekend will see the KISS crowd head to Haubstadt’s Tri-State Speedway, for Sunday night racing. The following Saturday, June 1, the KISS racers will compete at Paragon Speedway.
