Saturday night was another big night for young Rico Abreu, as he picked up one of the biggest wins of his career as he won the 23rd Annual Dave Bradway Jr Memorial at the Silver Dollar Speedway to back up a third place finish on Friday night.

“Wow,” Abreu said. “To win this race is huge. We were a second place car tonight, but we were in the right place at the right time, and to win this race is pretty cool.”

Starting alongside teammate, Shane Stewart, Abreu settled into the second spot, as he shadowed Stewart’s every move.

Able to hang with Stewart in turns one and two, Abreu seemed to lose just a little ground exiting turn four, lap after lap, on the extremely slick surface.

Pulling up next to Stewart at times, Abreu was never able to get his Abreu Vineyards/ButlerBuilt/FK Rod Ends backed entry around the Bixby, OK driver.

Facing pressure from Andy Gregg for the second spot, Abreu saw Stewart’s lead grow as he finally shook Gregg for the second spot.

With just eight laps to go, Abreu got a huge break, as leader, Shane Stewart, pulled into the infield with mechanical woes.

Leading the final eight laps, Abreu would not be denied as he pulled into victory lane, by way of donuts, celebrating the big win.

“I can’t thank Paul Silva and my guys for putting together a new car this week, and getting it dialed in to win this race. We essentially had both cars up front, and that’s a huge testament to our team.”

Abreu had quite the night on Saturday night as he opened the night up by timing in with quick time, and wining the night’s dash.

On Friday night, Abreu and team were at the Silver Dollar Speedway shaking down their new A.R.T. Chassis, and had a great night.

Timing in fifth fastest, Abreu scored a third place finish in his heat, putting him on the front row of the feature.

Battling with Stewart in the feature, Abreu slipped back to the third spot, where he would finish, opening up what would be a very memorable weekend.

Rico and his team would like to thank Abreu Vineyards, ButlerBuilt, FK Rod Ends, Schoenfeld, Keith Kunz Motorsports, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, and Factory Kahne Shocks for their support.
