From USCS

The USCS Sprint car points are as close as anyone can remember as the tour heads towards its 7th annual “Sprint car Speed week”. Competitive racing is what the series is known for and the National and Regional point standings are a true indicator to that statement. Consistency seems to be the name of the game as 2012 National Champion Tim Crawley #88 leads the 2013 National points race by only one point over Derek Hagar 9jr. from Marion, Arkansas. #10 Terry Grey 10 time USCS Champion finds himself in 3rd position with Team mate Morgan Turpin 2010 National USCS Rookie of the year 4th and Millington Tennessee’s 12d Dalton Davis holding the 5th position in the USCS National points standings

Derek “The Guy”Hagar piloting the 9jr has found himself in victory lane 3 times so far in 2013 with wins at Magnolia Motor Speedway, Tennesee National Speedway and Duck River Raceway Park. With these strong showings Hagar finds himself on top of the chart in both the Midsouth and the Southern divisions. To say that he is in a comfortable position would be incorrect as 2012 USCS National Champion Tim Crawley from Benton Arkansas only trails by a single point in both regional standings. Crawley, driving the Mike Ward #88 has yet to return to his winning ways of 2012 but has shown consistency with a string of second place finishes.

The Midsouth slugfest continues as Anthony Nicholson #16 from Bartlett, Tennessee sits in third spot and Terry Grey “The Original Outlaw” poised in 4th only 10 points behind. Rounding out the top 5 is Young Gun Dalton Davis coming of his first USCS Win at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tennessee May 3rd.
