With the World of Outlaws coming into his home turf, Lance Dewease hoped to rise to the occasion, however that wasn’t the case as the Fayetteville, PA driver had his fair share of issues during the two nights of action.

“We pretty much stunk the joint up all weekend,” Dewease said. “We didn’t time in well at all, and that really hurt us both nights.”

Taking to the Lincoln Speedway on Thursday night, Dewease’s night started off with him timing his Lelands.com/Conduit Connections/Pasquirellos Auto Shop entry in with the 26th fastest lap of the night during time trials.

Starting seventh in his heat, Dewease was able to make a brilliant move on the start of the race, and jumped up into the fifth and final transfer spot, where he would finish, and make the call to the feature event.

Starting 21st in the feature, Dewease was not able to get going as he had his hands full, and wound up with a 22nd place finish.

Friday night the scene shifted to the historic Williams Grove Speedway, and Dewease looked to improve on his performance at the Lincoln Speedway.

With 46 cars in the pit area, Dewease timed his Penske Racing Shocks/Wings Unlimited/Brown and Miller Racing Solutions backed entry in with the 34th quickest lap during time trials.

Lining up ninth in his heat, Dewease was able to work up to a seventh place finish, but that was not good enough to get him into the feature event, and he would have to make a stop in the LCQ for a final shot at making the A.

Lining up 14th in the LCQ, Dewease would not put on the charge that he had hoped for, as a 12th place finish ended his night.

“When you time in poorly with the World of Outlaws you usually have long nights, and that is what happened with us. We have a busy week ahead of us, so now we will go to work, and hurry up and put this weekend behind us.”

Dewease and his Heffner Racing team would like to thank Lelands.com, Conduit Connections, Pasquirellos Auto Shop, Penske Racing Shocks, Wings Unlimited, Brown and Miller Racings Solutions, Keizer Wheels, DMI Racing Components, Schoenfeld Headers, Hanks Performance Products, FK Rod Ends, Viper Venom fuels, ATL Fuel Cells, Schaeffer Racing Oils, Astro Titanium, Tom Shockey Collision, Kirkey Racing Seats, Michael Graphics, Valley Forge Inc., Bell Helmets, WRT Web Designs, and WRT SpeedWerx for their support.
