From Stan Sharkman
The anticipation was so thick you could cut It with a knife as the class of the 360 Sprint Car world rolled into Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram MS. Thirty two drivers fought it out through 4 heat races, 2 B-Mains and an eight minute feature for a chance to put their name on the first trophy of the 8th annual USCS Sprint Car Speedweek opener. In the end it was 2012 USCS National Champion Tim “Crawdaddy” Crawley in victory lane. The task wasn’t easy for the Benton, Arkansas racer. After starting 4th in his heat race and taking his #88 to victory lane. Crawley showed strength by starting 6th in the A-main and working his way to the lead position. The feature started with the 9jr of Derek Hagar on the pole after winning his heat. The Marion Ark. Hagar held the position till lap 10 as the #14z of Zack Pringle assumed the position powering past and holding the spot till lap 20 as some exciting Sprint Car racing was going on behind him. Lap 21 saw Crawley work his way to the point position and never look back. The Jackson Motor Speedway fans were treated to one of the most professional sprint car races ever contested at the1/3 mile clay oval. The event went caution free and had fans on their feet for most of the race. 10 time USCS National Champion Terry Grey”The Original Outlaw”Finished 3rd #26 Marshall Skinner 1999 USCS National Champion finished 4th and Jerod Roller Hailing out of West Memphis Arkansas rounded out the top 5
