Tucson, AZ — (June 1, 2013) — After missing events at the Thunder Raceway last week, Alamogordo, N.M. shoe Lorne Wofford returned to competition with the Hose Advantage Store Southwest Region, earning his third victory at the Tucson International Raceway and fourth overall this season.
Drawing the outside of the front row, Wofford jumped to the lead in Saturday’s 25 lap feature event. Sticking primarily to the cushion, unless traffic demanded the leaders take the low line, Wofford relinquished the lead on Lap 21 to No. 74x of Joshua Hodges; only to see the caution lights blink on before a lap could be completed.
Wofford would reassume the lead and the win with Rick Ziehl working past Hodges on the final lap for second. Hodges would cross third with Joshua Williams and Billy Chester completing the top five. Lance Norick Kaylene Verville, Cody Cambensy, Glen Brace, and Koty McGullam made up the top ten.
