The Honda USAC Western Midgets resume action June 29 at Plaza Park Raceway in Visalia, Calif. The race will be USAC’s first at the one-fifth mile dirt oval since Wally Pankratz’ victory in 2002.
Ronnie Gardner of Norco, Calif. holds down the number one point slot, 41 points ahead of Jake Swanson.
Gardner wheeled his Baldozier Racing/Esslinger Engineering Stewart to victory in Saturday night’s 30-lap Honda USAC Western Midget race at Petaluma (Calif.) Speedway, a race co-sanctioned by BCRA. Gardner led the last eight laps after Shane Golobic had led the first 22. Alex Schutte finished second ahead of David Prickett, Shannon McQueen and Swanson.
