From Plymouth Speedway
Plymouth, IN — (June 29, 2013) — The rain washed away hopes of getting in a great night of racing at Plymouth Speedway Saturday night.
92 teams had come into the pits to race UMP Modifieds, USAC Ignite Midgets, USAC 600 Sprints and USAC r600w Sprints with hopes of winning a bigger payout and a six-foot tall red, white and blue trophy. Mother Nature had other ideas as the sky opened up and dumped too much rain to allow the dirt surface to be conditioned enough for safe racing.
We’ll try it all again next Saturday, July 6 and the fireworks show will end the night of great dirt track racing! All classes will be back to put on an exciting show. Due to scheduling conflicts, the USAC Ignite Midget drivers will not be able to race.
A big night is also planned for the Thunder Stock and Street Stock divisions so it will be a full night of racing.
Plymouth Speedway has the best fans in Northern Indiana and we appreciate your patience and your dedication. We hope to see you back at the Playground of Power on July 6.
