Sapulpa, OK — (June 29th, 2013) — Alex “The Jet” Sewell visited the Creek County Speedway winner circle for the first time on Saturday.
Sewell picked up his first win in the Champ Sprint division at Creek County Speedway tonight sweeping the nights racing action. A total of 16 Champ Sprint drivers signed into the pits to do battle at the quick quarter. Len Larkin and Jamie McDonald started on the front row of the 20 lap affair, Jamie McDonald ran out to the early race lead as Larkin followed. Yellow came out on lap 3 as Joshua Tyre and Jackie York get tangled causing both drivers night to come to an end. On the restart Mickey Walker shot around McDonald to take the race lead. Lap 6 saw another lead change as Alex Sewell took the lead from the young Walker. Walker would retain the lead on lap 8 and would go on to lead until the last lap as Walker spun around on the bottom of turn 4 coming to the checkered flag. Sewell would take the win, Brent Bates came home second, and Glen Passmore rounded out the podium. Ricky York and Jamie McDonald rounded out the top 5.
