After the originally schedule event at Humberstone Speedway was rained out on Sunday, June 16th, Ontario Topless Sprints along with the co-sanctioning body Michigan Traditional Sprints and the Humberstone Speedway are set for this coming Sunday, August 11th for the Can Am Sprint Car Challenge Series event.
Sunday’s race at Humberstone Speedway will be round three of the Can Am Sprint Car Challenge Series. John Watson captured the checkered flag on the opening round of the series at South Buxton Speedway on June 15th, while Mike Burkin was the A-main winner over Watson in round two at Tri-City Speedway in Auburn, Michigan on June 21st.
After two events, John Watson is the current point leader with a commanding 37 point lead over Joey Irwin, while Dick Mahoney rounds out the top three. Following Sunday’s event at Humberstone Speedway, the next race on the schedule for the Ontario Topless Sprints/Can Am Sprint Car Challenge Series will be back at Tri-City Speedway on Friday, August 16th.
