Spring Valley, MN — (August 27, 2013) — The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series is less than three weeks from tackling the unique banking at Deer Creek Speedway.
The premier sprint car series is set for its only visit of the season to Deer Creek Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 14, for the Asgrow/DeKalb Clash at the Creek.
“That place is a little different than all the other places we go to,” Sammy Swindell said. “It’s just the banking and stuff. It turns the cars and does different things. It takes a little different setup and a little different driving style.”
Craig Dollansky held off 17th starter Donny Schatz in a thrilling race last year at the high-banked facility.
He marked the third straight different winner after Joey Saldana claimed the first two events in 2009 and 2010. Twenty-time World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series champion Steve Kinser won in 2011.
