Returning to action with the World of Outlaws over the weekend, Tim Kaeding and his Roth Motorsports team were greeted with a pair of polar opposite surfaces at the Skagit Speedway, but Kaeding showed his versatility as he tallied a ninth and 10th place finish.
Friday night, Kaeding returned to action with the series, and did not get off to the start he was hoping for, as he timed his Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/3H Cattle entry in 19th fastest.
Starting seventh in his heat race, the San Jose, CA driver was able to work into the fifth and final transfer spot, to punch his ticket into the 25-lap feature event, though he rolled off from the 10th row.
On a track that was lightening fast, and tough to pass on, Kaeding had his elbows up, as he excited the crowd to true TK fashion.
Bobbing, and weaving through cars, Kaeding earned hard charger honors as he scored a 10th place finish at the stripe.
Saturday night, the Skagit Speedway was extremely slick, and again tough to pass on.
Kaeding opened his night up in time trials by timing in ninth quickest, putting him well inside the heat race inversion.
Starting second in his heat, Kaeding scored a second place finish, putting him in the feature event in the fifth row.
On a track that was very abrasive, Kaeding was able to maintain his position and score a ninth place finish.
“It was an interesting weekend,” he said. “One night we were locked down, and the other we were super slick, and skating around. The guys did a great job or adapting to both nights, and it’s great to get Dennis and Teresa Roth a couple of top 10’s to open up the West Coast swing.”
Tim and his Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, 3H Cattle, Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2013.
