Selinsgrove, PA — (September 5, 2013) — Selinsgrove Speedway will present a four division racing program of 358 sprint cars, late models, pro stocks, and roadrunners at 7 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 7, sponsored by Insinger Performance Products. Track gates will open at 5 p.m.

With two points shows remaining, including this Saturday and Sept. 21, for the A&A Auto Stores 358 sprint cars, defending champion Pat Cannon of Etters holds a 65-point lead over Jason Shultz of Carlisle. Cannon, an eight-time winner this season, is seeking a record fourth 358 sprint car title at the track, while four-time winner Shultz is chasing his second career championship.

The Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center super late models have three points races remaining this season. Defending champion Jeff Rine of Danville leads the standings by 235 points over Dylan Yoder of Selinsgrove. Rine, a five-time feature winner this season, is in a commanding position to clinch a record ninth track title, while Yoder is eyeing his first career championship.

Troy Miller of Millerstown has a 90-point lead over Kyle Bachman of Selinsgrove in the pro stock standings. Miller, who has been winless so far this season, is racing to become the division’s first four-time champion, while Bachman, a four-time feature winner, remains in close contention for his second career title.

Six-time feature winner Brian Johnson of Ashland has a 60-point advantage over two-time defending champion and five-time winner Bob Bussey of Northumberland in the roadrunner standings. Johnson has his first track title in sight while Bussey is gunning for a three-peat in roadrunner championships. The pro stocks and roadrunners each have two points shows remaining this season.

The Jim Nace Memorial 31st Annual National Open for 410 sprint cars is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, sponsored by Selinsgrove Ford. This year’s 44-lap Open will pay $12,000 to win and $700 to start. Joining the 410 sprint cars on the racing card will be the super late models. Track gates will open at 5 p.m.

The rain date, if needed, will be 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, for sprint cars only.

Selinsgrove Raceway Park will be in action at 7 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 6, with a program of go karts and micro sprint cars. Track gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
