BOISE, Ida. (Sept. 17, 2013) – After spending the last couple of weeks working in the shop at his father’s business in Idaho, Logan Forler is ready to return to the track on Saturday for the Port-a-Cool U.S. Dirt Track Championship.
“Hopefully I’m not rusty or anything, but I’m looking forward to getting back in the car and racing a little bit more,” he said.
It will be the second Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.
Last season, Forler charged from sixth to second place in his heat race at the event before placing third in the feature.
“It looks little, but it races really big,” he said of the track. “There’s not really a key, just keep your nose on for the rubber and just hope you find it before everybody else was what it was last year.”
Forler ranks sixth in the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour championship standings – only 22 points out of the top five.
