11 months after the Brawl in the Fall was postponed due to weather, Lance Dewease made the wait worth while as he scored a second place finish on Sunday.

When the feature event went green, Dewease jumped into the third spot as he chased after Logan Schuchart and Don Kreitz, Jr, for the first five laps, aboard his lelands.com/Conduit Connections/Pasquirello’s Auto Shop entry.

On the fifth lap Schuchart lost the handle in turns three and four, and Dewease moved up to the second spot, as he restarted on Kreitz’s tail.

When the race restarted, Kreitz got a great jump on Dewease, as the Fayetteville, PA driver ran comfortably in the second spot, as the leaders got into lapped traffic on the 18th lap.

With a pair of late restarts giving Dewease two chances at Kreitz, Kreitz was too good on this day, and Dewease settled for the second spot.

“Kreitz was just better than us on this day, and we congratulate him,” Dewease said. “We had a great car, but he was really good.”

Dewease was also in action on Friday and Saturday night as he looked for one last tune up for the National Open at the Williams Grove Speedway.

Lining up in the seventh spot for the feature event, Dewease did not get off to the start he was looking for as he slipped back to the 10th spot, as he raced with Mark Smith and Steve Buckwalter.

By the 15th lap, Dewease had cleared the duo, and took over the seventh spot, as he hooked up in an exciting battle with Pat Cannon.

Over the closing laps, Dewease gave Cannon everything he could handle, but settled for a seventh place finish.

On Saturday night, Dewease was in action at the Selinsgrove Speedway competing in the 358/360 National Open.

Making a rare- 360 start, Dewease was able to score a 10th place finish.

“Overall it was a decent weekend for our team,” he said. “We have a huge weekend coming up, and hopefully we can defend our turf well against the World of Outlaws.”
