Piloting his own Coors Light/LivFast/GUTS Racing No. 53 on Saturday night in Hanford, CA, Andy Gregg’s night got turned upside down halfway through the feature event, as the Placerville, CA driver got his machine upside down and ended his night.
With 27 cars on hand for the King of the West’s Cotton Classic, Gregg timed his Meyers and Son Drywall/Ervin Sales Group/K&N Products entry in 10th fastest.
Using a late restart, Gregg was able to drive around Jason Meyers to grab third in his heat race, as he transferred to the feature event, where he would start in the fifth row.
Running inside the top 10, and clicking off laps, Gregg got a little out of shape getting into turn three on the 12th lap, and contact from behind got him upside down, and his night was over.
“It was completely my fault,” Gregg said. “We had a decent car, and I made a mistake, and we got upside down. I have to thank all of my guys for coming down here with me, and hopefully we can have some better luck at the Trophy Cup.”
Andy would like to thank Coors Light, LivFast Clothing Co., GUTS Racing, Meyers and Son Drywall, Ervin Sales Group, K&N Products, FK Rod Ends, Eagle Motorsports, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Hinchman, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, and 103.5 The Blaze for their support in 2013.
