Rocky Mountain, MO — (February 10, 2014) — Josh Baughman has approximately 50 races scheduled during his inaugural season driving for Jason Johnson Racing.
Baughman, who will make his season debut Feb. 20-22 at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Fla., will compete from Florida to Arizona with races in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas and New Mexico in between.
“The goal is to hit different tracks and get experience all over the country,” he said. “Our goal isn’t to win every race. Our goal is to make sure we’re getting better. As long as we’re growing as a team it will be successful.”
Baughman will compete in nearly two dozen Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour events, including the Bob Westphal Memorial Cup Speedweek, the Midwest Fall Brawl, the Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial, the Short Track Nationals and the final two dates of the Cocopah Cup Challenge.
Baughman will also race with the ASCS Gulf South, ASCS Lone Star, ASCS Sooner, ASCS Warrior and ASCS Midwest regions in addition to a couple of weekly events at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, in preparation for the 24th annual Arnold Motor Supply 360 Knoxville Nationals.
“We will be racing at a lot of tracks we’ve never been to and I think it will force me to adapt and learn every night I’m on the track,” he said. “This is a great opportunity to learn from Jason Johnson and his program. I’m excited to hit the track at East Bay and continue to build.”
