SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. (March 20, 2014) – Inside Line Promotions driver Derek Hagar has opened his season by scoring a pair of USCS Outlaw Thunder National victories in his first two races.
Hagar lapped the entire field at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss., on March 1 to score his first victory and the second for Team ILP this season. It marked the second straight year Hagar has claimed the USCS Frost Buster 250.
He then made a late-race pass at Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, Tenn., last Saturday to start his season 2-for-2.
Other top-five action from Team ILP clients include Seth Bergman’s runner-up performance and a fourth-place result for Sam Hafertepe Jr. during the ASCS Gulf South Region season opener last Friday at Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas.
Also, Big Game Motorsports driver Sammy Swindell recorded his first top five of the season with a fourth-place finish last Saturday at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif., with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series.
Additionally, we would like to give a shout out to Al Tschider, who founded the Big Al Kids & Motorsports Foundation. Get well soon, Big Al!
