(Perris, CA, April 5, 2013) The legendary STP World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series has been winding its way through Northern and Central California for nearly a month. It will conclude its early season tour of the Golden State next Saturday night, April 12th, when it joins the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars and The PAS Senior Sprints in the So. Cal. Sprint Car Spectacular at Perris Auto Speedway. After that event, like snowbirds heading for Florida for the winter, the World of Outlaws will begin the journey back to the Midwest and east where it spends a majority of the warmer months of the year.
After three races in Florida during February to open the 2014 campaign, the tour and its bevy of superstar drivers loaded up their haulers and headed west in early March. Their first stop was in “Sin City,” Las Vegas, and then Tucson, Arizona before heading into California. Going into this weekend’s races at the Calastoga Speedway in Northern California’s gorgeous Wine Country, the competitive series has produced seven different winners in seven different races since leaving Florida. Three of the winners, Paul McMahon, Brad Sweet and Rico Abreau, are California natives. Other winners on the western swing have been Oklahoma’s Darryn Pittman, North Dakota’s Donny Schatz, David Gravel of Connecticut and Australian Kerry Madsen.

After this Saturday and Sunday’s races at Calistoga, the World of Outlaws race Friday at King’s Speedway in Hanford before next Saturday’s “Spectacular” at Perris Auto Speedway. Advance tickets for next Saturday, which include a free fan pit pass, are available at the following link http://dirtcar.ticketforce.
In addition to the traveling band of racecar gypsies, the USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series, featuring point leader Damion Gardner of Concord, California, and The PAS Senior Sprints, headed by defending champ and three-time USAC title winner Rick Hendrix of Palmdale, will also be putting on full shows on the triple header night of open wheel action.
