From A to Z promotions
North Sioux City, SD-AtoZ Promotions LLC is pleased to announce that is agreed to lease terms on to promote the 2014 season of racing at the Park Jefferson Speedway. “We are very excited to bring back racing at The Park to the great race fans of the Siouxland area. This facility is really unique and we are excited to return it to its glory days,” said AtoZ general manager Josh Holt.
Preparations are already underway to rehab the facility. “There is a lot of work to do in the weeks prior to opening on June 14. We will begin work on the physical premises and have begun reaching out to sponsors and advertisers.” Advertising and sponsorship opportunities will be available including billboard advertising, race class title sponsors, and program sponsors.
The clubhouse will be available for businesses to use during race season. Each of the division title sponsorships will be offered a night to reserve the clubhouse exclusively for entertainment of clients and employees. Private parties will also be able to reserve the turn one party deck.
The schedule will feature IMCA Modifieds, Sport Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, and Sport Compacts. In addition, there will be a new entry stock class division called Park Jeff Thunder Cars. The rules package will mirror the Buena Vista Raceway Bombers, in order to allow those drivers a chance to race somewhere on Saturday nights.
The schedule is packed with specials, the first being the return of super late model racing to the Siouxland. The Corn Belt Clash will take on the MARS Dirtcar Series on Thursday, June 26 to kick off the specials calendar.
On Friday, July 11, the ASCS Midwest Sprint Cars challenge the Minnesota Mafia as the opening act in the two-day Carlson Clash and the first of two sprint car specials. The following night will feature super late model racing featuring the SLMR Late Model Series. The two day Carlson Clash is to honor former track owners Ted and Jo Carlson and feature two great nights of racing.
In August, the facility will see the return of the ASCS Midwest Sprint Cars vs. the Minnesota Mafia for the Inaugural Saturday After The Big One event. This event will also offer local fans the opportunity to enter the first annual corn hole tournament with proceeds benefitting the drivers of the Minnesota Mafia.
The last of the specials will be the Inaugural Mount Rushmore state championships on October 3-4.
“We are still in negotiations with other sanctioning bodies including modifieds and late models about the possibility of adding an additional night or to our preliminary schedule” stated Josh. In addition, Park Jefferson will be looking for people interested in helping at the facility leading up to the opening race and during the season.
