Spending the weekend in Pennsylvania, Jac Haudenschild overcame an opening lap tangle to charge to the 11th spot from the back at the Mercer Raceway Park in Pennsylvania on Saturday night.
26 cars assembled at the Mercer Raceway Park, and a draw show format was in place for heat races, and ‘The Wild Child’ found himself lining up sixth in his heat race.
Heat race action saw the Wooster, OH driver finish in the sixth spot, transferring him into the feature, where he lined up in the 17th spot.
The start of the feature event as chaotic, and it resulted in a pile up, and unfortunately, Haudenschild and the MonDak Portables/Benic Enterprises/Renegade Rentals machine were involved, and were forced to the work area.
Restarting the race from the tail end of the field, Haudenschild dropped the hammer, as he railed around the speedway picking up positions.
On the slick surface, Haudenschild was able to carve his way up to the 11th spot at the finish line.
Friday night, Haudenschild and company were in action at Williams Grove Speedway, and in qualifying time-trials Haudenschild timed in ninth fastest, putting him in the second row of his heat race, where he finished fourth.
Putting him in the feature event, Haud lined up sixth in the feature, but lining up for the feature he had a tire go flat, and he went to the work area to replace it.
Starting in the back of feature Haudenschild made a few laps, but opted to pull off to save his equipment for another day.
“We learned some things this week, and I think we are going the right direction,” Haudenschild said. “We have All Star stuff at Williams Grove next week, so we are feeling pretty good about what we learned.”
