– Taking on the ASCS Sooner Region at the Creek County Speedway, Harli White came up just short of transferring to the feature event after a hard fought B Main event.
“We have just been having some bad luck lately,” White said. “It’s tough, but I’m really hoping we can get out of this slump and get going in the right direction soon.”
Lining up fourth in her heat aboard her Lucas Oil/MVT/PXP Racewear backed entry, White slipped back a few spots on the start, digging herself an early hole.
Fighting back, White would gain the positions she lost, and get back to fourth at the stripe, but the lack of passing points put her in the night’s B Main.
Starting on the front row of the B, White was looking to run in the Top-Two to earn a transfer to the feature, but as luck would have it, White got into the first corner and bicycled her machine, and lost several spots, but was able to save the car and race on.
Working her way forward, White would get back to the fourth spot, but with only two cars moving on, her night was finished.
“It’s been frustrating not having good finishes, and we are for sure looking for a turn around this weekend,” she said. “We are keeping our heads up, working hard, and trying to learn every time we are on the track so we can be the best we can.”
Harli White Racing would like to thank Lucas Oil, Mesilla Valley Transportation, PXP Racewear, Simpson, Classic Seagulls UK, Eagle Motorsports, and the Shriners Hospital For Children Gavelston for their support during the 2014 season.
2014 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-11, Wins-0, Top 5’s-2, Top 10’s-5.
ON TAP: White will be at the Boyd Raceway on Friday night before tackling the Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday night.
