Tulsa, OK — (June 4, 2014) — A common pairing with the Griffith Truck and Equipment Gulf South Region in 2014, this weekend’s lone ASCS regional competition heads for the Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas on Friday, June 6 and Gator Motorplex on Saturday, June 7 in Willis, Texas.
Blake Hahn grabbed the night’s feature win in the region’s visit on April 18 at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway. April 19 saw Aaron Reutzel topping things at the Gator Motorplex.
Channin Tankersley carries the series into the weekend double-header with a 59 point advantage over five-time series champion, Ray Allen Kulhanek. Chris Sweeney holds third with John Pate and Klint Angelette completing the top five.
In 10 A-Feature starts this season, there have been eight winners so far with Johnny Herrera and Blake Hahn as the only drivers with a pair of wins.
Friday at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway will see the Gulf South Region joined by IMCA Modifieds, Sport Mods, Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks, Bombers, Jr. Mini Stocks, and Twisters. Gates open at 6:00 P.M. with races starting at 8:00 P.M. (CT). Admission is $15 with discounts for Seniors, Students, and Children.
