SOUTHERN ONTARIO SPRINTS TOUR VERSUS CORR/PAK MERCHANDISING 360 SPRINT CARS
This Friday features the second of three challenge events this season between traveling Sprint Car series and the regulars of the weekly Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Car division. The Southern Ontario Sprints tour drivers are the foes for Corr/Pak drivers defending home turf this time, although many drivers do compete with both groups, and will be earning valuable points in both championship chases.

Glenn Styres and Mitch Brown are first and second in both the SOS and Corr/Pak standings, but the gap between them differs. Styres’ lead in the SOS standings is just 7 points, while he enjoys a 33 point lead over Brown and defending champ Jim Huppunen in the Corr/Pak standings. Chris Jones, Justin Martin, Jamie Turner, Keith Dempster, Cory Turner, Warren Mahoney, Shawn Sliter, and Brad Lodge make up the rest of the current SOS top ten, while Kyle Patrick, Chris Steele, Dave Dykstra, Todd Hoddick, Shane Ross, Justin Martin, and Keith Dempster occupy the remainder of the Corr/Pak top ten.

Glenn Styres has three feature wins in Corr/Pak competition this season, while Mitch Brown has won two SOS features. Chris Steele is the only driver to win in both SOS and Corr/Pak events so far in 2014. Cory Turner is the current Rookie of the Year leader over Shawn Sliter in both sets of standings.

STRICKLAND’S GMC CRATE SPRINT CARS
Ryan Hunsinger is still atop the Crate Sprint Car standings, but Aaron Turkey and Jake Brown are hot on his heels, just 14 and 15 points behind, respectively. Mike Thorne and Josh Shantz make up the remainder of the current top 5.

AFFORDABLE TOWING & RECOVERY THUNDER STOCKS
Wyatt Van Wart didn’t go to Mobil 1 Victory Lane last Friday, but increased his lead in the Thunder Stock standings anyway. He’s being chased by Dave Silverthorn, Jr., Billy Bleich, Jr., Dave Bailey, Lee Winger, Steve Hess, Chris Dickie, Bryce Richardson, Jim Lampman, and Rookie of the Year standings leader Chase Hess.

HRW AUTOMOTIVE MINI STOCKS
Mini Stock points leader Tyler Lafantaisie’s worst Ohsweken finish of the season was last Friday. The bad news for his competition is that finish was in 4th place. Lafantaisie is being chased by Team 66  (Jon and Brandon Janssens), Rookie of the Year standings leader Mark Bazuin, Team 81 (Alex Schuts and Lee Hils), Team 79 (Steve and Dan Miller), Lucas Lubin, Dave Goodacre, Jonathan Ayrton, Tim DeBoer, and Robin Elliott.

GALE’S AUTO AFTERMARKET BOMBERS
Joe DeBoer went back to Mobil 1 Victory Lane last Friday, and cut Dusty DeBoer’s points lead to just 2 markers as a result. Gillian Hils is currently third in the standings, followed by Ashton Reekie, and Paul Longboat.
