–  One week after having frustrating brake issues hamper him, Andy Forsberg and his F&F Racing team came back strong, as Forsberg worked his way to the front, and score F&F Racing’s Fourth win of the 2014 season.

“We had a bit of a rough night at the Ocean Speedway on Friday, and the guys worked very hard to get us ready for Placerville, and it was great to go out and get them a win,” Forsberg said.

Kicking his night off with quick time honors in qualifications, Forsberg transferred through his heat, putting the Lucas Oil/Pit Stop USA/HRP No. X1 machine in the evening’s redraw.

Lining up in the seventh spot for the feature event, ‘Mr. Excitement’ wasted no time getting to the front, as he quickly rode the Placerville Speedway cushion to the third spot during the first lap.

On the fifth lap, the Auburn, CA driver had a head of steam and was able to work into the second spot as he chased after Gregg DeCaires, and had Andy Gregg chasing after him.

In heavy lapped traffic, Forsberg was able to thrill the crowd on the 16th lap, as he drove around DeCaires on the 16th lap, and never looked back as he went on to pick up the win.

“Usually when the track is like this we are pretty tough to be,” Forsberg said. “DeCaires did get the better of us a couple of weeks ago when it was like this, but we went to school, and got better, and it feels great to be back in victory lane.”

Friday night saw Forsberg and the F&F Racing team in action at the Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, CA with the Civil War Series.

Timing in 12th fastest, Forsberg took advantage of his front row starting spot, and picked up the win board his CRV/Inventory Sales/Roseville Precision entry, earning him a spot in the dash, in which he finished in the fourth spot.

In what was an eventful main event, Forsberg got up as high as the second spot, and with many cautions and red flags slowing he pace, double file restarts were not always kind to him as he slipped back as far as the seventh spot at times.

Trouble struck Forsberg around the halfway point of the race as he slowed for a red flag on the speedway. In doing so, a car got over his right rear, causing a flat tire, and also destroying a top wing, and he was forced into the work area.

With repairs made, Forsberg restarted the race, and lasted a few more laps before he spun out, and his night was ended early.

“It was a wild race all around,” Forsberg said. “We had a pretty good car, but we just had some bad luck during a red flag, that really ended our night. It was definitely nice to end our weekend with a win on Saturday.”

F&F Racing would like to thank Lucas Oil, Pit Stop USA, HRP, CRV, Inventory Sales, A.R.T. Speed Equipment, Wilwood, Kaizer Wheels, K&N, Roseville Precision, Autism Speaks, FK Rod Ends, and PT Shocks for their support in 2014.

ON TAP: Forsberg will return to action on Saturday night at the Placerville Speedway.
