(Lebanon, IN) Following a week off, the Mel Kenyon Midget Series is returning to action on Saturday August 2 at US 24 Speedway. The Logansport (IN) bull ring hosted the Mel Kenyon Midget Series’ 1st dirt race and continues to thrill fans and competitors alike with close racing action.
Point leader Cole Fehr won the last USSA midget race at US 24 on July 19. Fehr brings a 55 point advantage over Simpson World Indy Rookie of the Year candidate Colten Dooley. Dooley holds a slim 11 point lead over third place Jessica Bean. Bean picked up the win at US 24 on June 14. Dooley earned the checkers at Coles County Speedway May 10.
Fehr tops the Mel Kenyon Midget Series winners list for 2014 with three trips to the top step of the podium. Travis Young has picked up the first place trophy twice while Dooley and Bean each claimed one victory.
The Mel Kenyon Midget Series will take to US 24 Speedway’s track for hot laps at 6:15 and racing will begin at 7:30. US 24 Speedway is located on US Highway 24 just west of Logansport, IN.
