Selinsogrove, PA — (September 23, 2014) — The Rislone URC Sprint Series continues Saturday night, September 27 with the $10,000 to win MACH 1 Chassis National Open for 360/358 sprints at the Selinsgrove Speedway. This is the first time in the history of this event that the winner will earn $10,000 with second paying $5,000, tenth place will pay $1,000 and $500 will be offered just to start the main event. In total, more then $35,000 is posted for the total payoff. Gates will open at 5 PM with race time set for 7 PM. In the event of rain, Sunday, September 28 will be the rain date.
The format for the MACH 1 event will include time trials, double heats and “B” Mains to determine the starting line-up in the MACH 1 National Open for 360/358 sprints.
Sixteen events have taken place at Selinsgrove in 2014 with victories going to Mark Smith (6), TJ Stutts (3), Davie Franek (2), with single victories going to Aaron Ott, Brock Zearfoss, Ryan Kissinger, Cody Keller and Robbie Stillwaggon.
In 2013, a field of fifty entries turned out for this event with TJ Stutts taking the win in a feature race that ran off non-stop. Stutts is a three time winner of the 360/358 National Open at Selinsgrove.
Davie Franek of Wantage, NJ is looking for his first Rislone URC Championship and would like nothing more then to pocket the $10,000 victory on Saturday night. Josh Weller of Mertztown, PA is a key challenger for the win along with Burlington, NJ driver Robbie Stillwaggon.
