Chico, CA – May 2, 2015 . . . After winning the dash Campbell’s Bud Kaeding led the 22-car field down to the green flag searching for his first Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial victory and initial King of the West Sprint Car Series victory of the 2015 season.
Kaeding, in just his second season aboard the Williams Motorsports No. 0 jumped out to the lead over outside pole sitter Cason Macedo. Mason Moore who started inside row two got by Macedo on lap two and set his sights on Kaeding. Moore was closing in on Kaeding on lap twelve when the red flag would waive for Justyn Cox getting upside down in turn three. Cox was ok. The field lined up for a double file restart with Moore capitalizing on the high side of the race track in turns one and two getting around Kaeding for the lead.
Moore extended his lead over the field until lap 28 when Kaeding tracked him down to take the lead back over. The caution flag would waive on lap 37 for Jonathan Allard spinning to a stop in turn two. With a single file restart Macedo and Dominic Scelzi would get by Moore for second and third.
Moore would make a move to get back into the top three on lap 38 but would spin to a stop down the back stretch ending his night. Kaeding brought the field back to green pulling away to lead the final three laps to claim victory of the 25th annual Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial Race.
