The USAC Western Regional King of the Wing racing series takes a one-month hiatus before returning to Madera (Calif.) Speedway for a June 6 appearance.
Davey Hamilton, Jr. of Jamestown, Ind. led all 30 laps to win Saturday night’s “Vukovich Classic” series opener at Madera. He was trailed at the checkered flag by fast qualifier Kyle Vanderpool, Anthony Simone, Davey Pombo and Marvin Mitchell.
Hamilton has a one-point lead in the series following Saturday’s race. Simone and Pombo are locked in a tie for third in the new points.
