Anderson, IN – (May 20, 2015) – Jimmy McCune got the jump on the field and never looked back en-route to his dominating victory in the “Must See Racing 60” Wednesday night at Anderson (IN) Speedway. The victory was McCune’s first Must See Racing Powered by Engine Pro feature win of the year.

Threatening weather and cool temps throughout most of the day made for unseasonable Central Indiana weather. Temperatures were in the low 50’s by race time. The event was briefly delayed due to rain showers just prior to qualifying.

Jo Jo Helberg led the field in qualifying with a lap of 10.315 seconds. Heat races were won by Chris Neuenschwander and Jimmy McCune.

With McCune opening up a straight away lead in the Must See Racing 60 presented by Sam Pierce Chevrolet, the battle was for second place between Chris Neuenschwander, Jacob Wilson and Aaron Pierce for all 60 laps.

Wilson, the two-time defending Pay Less Little 500 presented by UAW – GM champion, tried to use the high groove to pick-up the second spot but Neuenschwander wouldn’t give up the preferred racing line.
With ten laps remaining Pierce faded from the second place battle and had to settle for fourth place. Mickey Kempgens rounded out the top five.

During the warm-up laps for the race, fast qualifier Jo Jo Helberg appeared to have a mechanical failure and spun on the back straight. The cars of Sam Davis, Ron Koehler, Dave Baumgartner and Ryan Burdett were collected. Helberg and Baumgartner were unable to start the feature.

“I didn’t know exactly where was until about lap twenty or so” explained McCune in victory lane. ”Right around there I started looking across the race track and kept looking at the score board and saw ten (Neuenschwander) was still running second. I figured he was putting on a good blocking for me. I kept after it pretty hard for a bit and then backed her down so I didn’t use up the tires real bad. She was a rocket ship from the heat race on” concluded McCune.

Must See Racing teams will now turn their focus towards the 67th annual Pay Less Little 500 presented by UAW – GM with qualifying scheduled for tomorrow at 1:30 PM. The green flag will drop on the 67th annual Pay Less Little 500 presented by UAW – GM Saturday at 8:00 PM.
