Port Royal – This Saturday night, June 13 will be Fan Appreciation Night at Port Royal Speedway, offering the low, low price of JUST $10 adult general admission for a show of 410 sprints, super late models, River Valley Builders 305 sprints and Len Krautheim Auto Sales xtreme stocks.
The night will also include the FNB of Mifflintown Kids Money Scramble on the frontstretch when some $500 in silver coins will be scattered for youth ages 12 and under to gather.
Racing action begins at 7 pm with gates opening at 5 pm.
Now at the midpoint of the season, Mechanicsburg’s Lucas Wolfe currently leads the 410 sprint point standings by a few hundred points over Mike Wagner.
Local Mitch Hack currently has just a five-point lead in the super late model points over defending track titlist Mike Lupfer of Shermansdale.
The 305 sprint standings currently list Nathan Gramley on top with a tie in the xtreme stock points between Jason Zook and Pete Leister.
Coming up next Saturday, June 20 at 7 pm, it will be Moon Shine Camo Night at Port Royal with the UFO Late Models hitting the speedway for a 35-lap, $3,000 to win event that should include some of the biggest stars in area late model action.
Drivers expected to compete include Brian Tavenner, Winchester, VA; Jerry Bard, Shippensburg; Dan Stone, Thompson; Keith Jackson, Martinsburg, WV; and more.
The 410 sprints and Gray’s Auto & Towing 355 econo late models are also on the program.
It will also be Camera & Autograph Night at the track, offering general admission ticket holders complimentary access to the pits from 5 – 6 pm.
