Port Royal – The list of stars coming out for this Saturday’s Living Legends Dream Race at Port Royal Speedways continues to grow.
The man that beat the World of Outlaws at Port Royal last October, Ryan Smith confirmed his entry in the event on Wednesday evening.
Smith, of Kunkletown, is currently racing with the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints and holds down seventh in the series point standings.
As the defending Port Royal World of Outlaws champion, the likable 27-year old will meet and greet fans and sign autographs behind the grandstand from 5 until 5:30 pm on Saturday night.
Smith has taken All Stars wins this season at Attica, Ohio and at Mercer Raceway Park in western Pennsylvania, and he finished fifth in the April All Stars Port Royal Bob Weikert Memorial.
A simultaneous autograph session with Living Legend honorees Scott Haus and Ed Powell and a host of other Powell pilots from over the years will be taking place adjacent to Smith, beginning at 5 pm.
Just added to that lineup is Jim Adams of Sunbury who was Powell’s first hot shoe in the very early 1980s.
Also entering the event on the sprint car side of the equation is World of Outlaws champion Dave Blaney of Cortland, Oh.
Blaney has been a regular in Dream Race action for the last several years and 2015 will again be on his schedule.
Since it began in 2007, no driver has been able to repeat a victory in the illustrious event.
Winners in order have been Sean Michael, Greg Hodnett, Cody Darrah, Chad Layton, Stevie Smith, Blane Heimbach, Ryan Taylor and Brent Marks is the defending event champion.
Gates for the big event open at 4 pm with racing slated for 7.
