– KNOXVILLE, Iowa (Aug. 11, 2015) – Mark Burch Motorsports reached Victory Lane during the premier 360ci sprint car event last weekend for the third time in the last four years.

Danny Lasoski piloted the team to a preliminary triumph last Thursday to open the 25th annual Arnold Motor Supply 360 Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway before earning a top 10 during Saturday’s finale for the fourth straight season.

“Our goal was to win the preliminary night as well as the finale, but we weren’t able to get that done,” he said. “Mark and the guys gave me a great opportunity and I’m glad we were able to take advantage of it on Thursday.”

The event began on Thursday with Lasoski qualifying 15th quickest. He then made a daring pass on the opening lap of a heat race to split two competitors and take over second place. Lasoski took the lead on the ensuing lap before pulling away for the victory.

That locked him into the feature and a starting spot on the outside of the front row for the 20-lap main event.

“The track was tough to pass on so I knew we needed to take advantage of starting on the front row,” he said. “Clean air is so critical in sprint car racing anymore and we were able to take the lead on the start and never look back.”

Lasoski set a steady pace out front and methodically maneuvered through traffic without any problems to capture the win.

Once preliminary action concluded Mark Burch Motorsports ranked eighth out of more than 100 competitors. That lined the team up on the outside of the fourth row for Saturday’s $10,000-to-win main event.

“Knoxville got hit by a bunch of rain Saturday morning and the track crew did the best job possible given the circumstances,” Lasoski said. “The track was fast in the main event and everyone got in line and maintained.”

Lasoski posted an eighth-place finish to cap the event.
