Mansfield, OH — (August 30, 2015) — In the return of Winged Sprint Car Racing to Spitzer Motor Speedway in Mansfield, Ohio, Jimmy McCune earned the feature victory in the 30-lap main event on Sunday, August 30.
Cody Gallogly grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag, pacing the opening 24 circuits. McCune made the pass on the race leader on the 25th lap and then finished 0.858 seconds ahead of the Gallogly at the checkered flag. Third went to Bobby Santos Jr. with Jason Blonde and Dave Baumgartner rounding out the top-five finishers.
In preliminary action, heat race victories were earned by Baumgartner and Gallogly. In Hamilton Trucking Qualifications, Aaron Pierce earned his seventh quick time of the season with a lap of 13.283 seconds at 135.512 mph.
The Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints return to action on Friday, September 11 at Toledo (Ohio) Speedway.
