Port Royal – Port Royal Speedway is readying for three final weeks of sprint car racing action coming up on October 10, 17 and 24.
After a few weeks off, the historic oval will close out the 2015 season with a trio of big shows to cap off the year.
It all climaxes with the return of the World of Outlaws sprint cars to the track on Saturday, October 24 at 5 pm along with the Mid Atlantic Modifieds.
The World of Outlaws sprint cars will compete in a 30-lap main event paying $10,000 to win in the big event.
Tickets are now on sale at worldofoutlaws.com and are priced at $30 adult general admission and $20 for students ages 12 – 18 with reserved grandstand seating available regardless of age for $35.
PA Posse native Ryan Smith is the defending World of Outlaws Port Royal winner.
The mighty URC 360 sprints will return to Port Royal on October 17 along with the 410 sprints in the Open Wheel Madness Twin 25s, at 5 pm.
The 410 sprints will campaign in a World of Outlaws tune up event paying $5,000 to win and $350 to start in the 25-lap affair with the outlaw format utilized to set starting lineups.
Both 360 and 358 sprints are eligible to compete in the URC Sprint portion of the show with the URCs racing 25 laps for $2,000 to win.
The racing program is part of a weekend-long event at the speedway known as Port Royal Foliage Days that features a craft, food and flea market at the track both days along with a parade in Port Royal on Saturday at 1 pm and a classic car show at the track on Sunday.
Admission to Foliage Days is FREE with race admission set at $20 for adults and $7 for students ages 12 – 18.
And on October 10 Port Royal will kick off the month with the fourth annual Blue Collar Classic for RaceSaver 305 sprint cars featuring an interregional clash of 305s with drivers from PASS, Laurel Highlands, TSRS and the VSS regions all competing under one roof.
The Blue Collar Classic for the 305 sprints will again pay $1,000 to win a 25 lap main event with limited lates, xtreme stocks and four cylinder pure stocks also on the schedule.
